2 Suspects Arrested For Killing Traditional Ruler In Nasarawa

The Nigeria police has arrested two men suspected to have been
involved in the killing of a traditional ruler in Nasarawa State,
raising concerns over the security of traditional rulers in the state,
who have become murder victims in recent time.

The Commissioner of Police in Nasarawa, Mr Ibrahim Idris, brought
before reporters, the two suspect who confessed to the killing of one
Musa Osayi of Unguwan Mada Village of Nasarawa Local Government.

Mr Osayi's was the second traditional ruler that has been murdered in
the second half of the year. The first was that of Gom Mama of Farin
Ruwa in Wamba Local Government.

The suspects, Usman Samaila and Danladi Azamu, both personal staff of
the late chief, confessed to the killing over perceived threat by the
chief to deal with them.
