Vincent Enyeama has withdrawn from the Super Eagles squad to face
Congo DR and South Africa in this month's 2015 African Nations Cup
qualifiers.
The goalkeeper, who said after the World Cup that he was considering
his international future, has pulled out for family reasons
"I spoke to the coach and explained to him why I couldn't make it,"
Enyeama told ColinUdoh.com on Monday.
"I have some very pressing family issues to attend to at this time and
it's important for me to be there with my family at this time."
But the Lille goalkeeper, who was expected to captain the squad
following the retirement of Joseph Yobo, says he will be available for
future call-ups
"I've told the coach that I will be available in future. But this
time, I need to be there for my family."
Nigeria are scheduled to play Congo on September 6 and South Africa on
September 10.
