2015: Imo People In Diaspora Back Iheanacho

The gubernatorial aspiration of the All Progressives Grand Alliance
(APGA) governorship candidate in Imo State, Captain Emmanuel Iheanacho
received a boost at the weekend as the Imo indigenes in the Diaspora
have endorsed him, saying he is the best person to re-position the
state.

The General Coordinator of the group, Mr. Leo Ejiogu, said the group,
having gone through the manifestos and blueprint presented to it by
Iheanacho, noted that there was no doubt, the former Minister of
Interior had the best plans to engineer a real rescue for the people
of the state.

"From general assessment of the candidates of different political
parties in Imo State, Project 2015 Group is convinced that Captain
Iheanacho will re-define the public schools' curriculum to achieve a
Quality and Free Education Programme (QFEP), reduce unemployment
through industrialisation plan, empower the youths through job
creation, and provide Quality Primary Health Care (QPHC)."

"His plan to partner with the Diaspora health care professionals and
other professionals also will improve the state's capacity in health
care and welfare delivery, internally generated revenue and revamp the
social welfare system to support the most vulnerable Imo citizens -
new born, the elderly, the widows and physically challenged,"Ejiogu
said.

He further pointed out that the days of emergency governments led by
non-qualified and inexperienced people were gone in the state.

Ejiogu therefore, called on stakeholders in the state to continue to
enlighten and mobilize the electorate in the state to vote for the
APGA governorship candidate.
