Ebola: The Invisible Terrorist

The situation of Ebola outbreak is becoming so dire in affected
nations and its impact is fast becoming a global concern.

Different issues has not cease to spring up since the outbreak of the
deadly epidemic, some recent issues include:

World Bank's declarations that the disease will further crumble the
economies of affected countries if not well contain as economic growth
is predicted to fall with tourism and trade.

Health workers are still struggling to cope with the increasing number
of infected people, some centres in badly affected countries such as
Liberia and Sierra Leone have even been forced to turn back patients
because they could not accommodate more all.

Health workers are also struggling to stay healthy in their war
against the disease but even at that it has been reported that another
international health care worker has fallen ill while trying to help
sick patients in Liberia.

Doctors Without Borders -- also known by its French acronym MSF -- said
the female French employee would be evacuated to a special treatment
center in France after being placed
into isolation on Tuesday.

Brice de le Vingne, MSF Director of Operations said about their
infected employee that

"MSF applies very strict protocols of protection for its staff --
before, during and after their time in a country affected by the
current Ebola
outbreak,"

He further states the sacrifice health workers have to undergo by saying

"This dramatically reduces the risk of transmission of the disease.
However, the risk is part of such an intervention, and sadly our teams
are not spared."
