NFF Confirms Super Eagles Friendly With Bafana Bafana In Nelspruit

The Nigeria Football Federation announced on Friday that the Senior
National Team, The Super Eagles, will play a friendly game against
South Africa's Bafana Bafana on Sunday, March 29.

The match, comes a little over four months after a disappointing 2-2
draw for the Eagles in Uyo saw the Ephraim 'Shakes' Mashaba-side
effectively put down the 2013 AFCON Champions enroute a title defense
in Equatorial Guinea.

Having sealed the deal for the March 29 date, the NFF announced on its
website that the match will take place at the Mbombela Stadium in
Nelspruit.

The venue hosted Nigeria's first two matches at the 2013 Africa Cup of
Nations 1-1 draws against Burkina Faso and Zambia.

Both teams [Nigeria and South Africa] are preparing for the 2017
Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and the 2018 FIFA World Cup
qualifying series.

Their last meeting in 'the land of the Madiba' came up in a qualifying
match for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, which ended scoreless in
Cape Town.
