Suspect In Oklahoma Beheading Is Formally Arrested In Hospital...

The Oklahoma man suspected of beheading a former co-worker at a food
distribution warehouse last week, who was shot by another employee
trying to thwart the attack, was placed under arrest in a hospital
where he underwent surgery, authorities said on Saturday.

Alton Nolen was charged with first degree murder and assault with a
deadly weapon when he emerged from sedation, said Moore, Oklahoma,
police sergeant Jeremy Lewis.

Nolen is suspected of killing Colleen Hufford, 54, and stabbing Traci
Johnson, 43, who apparently were attacked randomly at the Vaughan
Foods facility in Moore on Thursday, Lewis said.

Nolen, 30, had been fired from the plant moments earlier.

He was shot by Vaughan's chief operating officer during the attack, said Lewis.

Nolen underwent surgery at a local hospital and was expected to
survive, he said.

Authorities waited until he was coherent and could understand the
charges before placing him under arrest on Friday afternoon, Lewis
said.

Johnson was in stable condition in intensive care, he said.

Nolen had reportedly tried to convert his colleagues to Islam, and the
FBI was looking into his background, police said on Friday.

Islamist militants fighting in Iraq and Syria have released videos
that purported to show the beheadings of two Americans and a British
aid worker.

After being fired, Nolen went to Vaughan's main office, where he
stabbed Hufford several times and then severed her head, Lewis said.

Nolen had a non-violent criminal record, including drug-related
arrests, a jail escape and resisting police, authorities said.

British Minister Resigns Over Explicit Photos Report

A British minister announced his unexpected resignation on Saturday as
a newspaper reported he sent an explicit photo of himself online, in
the latest setback to David Cameron's Conservative-led government.

"I have decided to resign as Minister for Civil Society having been
notified of a story to be published in a Sunday newspaper," said
Brooks Newmark, a Conservative member of parliament since 2005.

"I would like to appeal for the privacy of my family to be respected
at this time. I remain a loyal supporter of this government as its
long-term economic plan continues to deliver for the British people,"
Newmark said.

The Sunday Mirror reported that Newmark exchanged a series of sexually
explicit photos online with a freelance reporter who was posing as a
young female activist.

In a private message conversation on a social networking site, Newmark
"sent a graphic picture exposing himself while wearing a pair of
paisley pyjamas" the tabloid newspaper reported.

The then-minister also invited the reporter to meet with him during
the Conservative party conference that begins on Sunday, when the
party will set out its case for re-election in the May 2015 election.

It was the second blow to the prime minister on the eve of the
conference, following the defection of a Conservative lawmaker to
eurosceptic party UKIP earlier on Saturday.

"The prime minister has accepted Brooks Newmark's resignation from his
role as Minister for Civil Society. His replacement will be announced
shortly," Cameron's office said in a statement.

Oxlade-Chamberlain Earns Arsenal Derby Draw

A late equaliser from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain earned Arsenal a 1-1
draw at home to Tottenham Hotspur in the first north London derby of
the Premier League season on Saturday.

Having gone ahead through Nacer Chadli in the 56th minute, Tottenham
were disappointed not to have recorded only their third Premier League
victory at the home of their neighbours.

But though Arsenal were relieved to have avoided that fate, the point
came at a cost.

Injuries to Mikel Arteta and Aaron Ramsey, both of whom were replaced
in the first half, means manager Arsene Wenger may have to rethink his
tactics for the visit of Galatasaray in the Champions League on
Wednesday.

Wenger raised a few eyebrows before the game by leaving Alexis
Sanchez, the big-money close-season signing from Barcelona, on the
bench, with Danny Welbeck starting up front.

Tottenham had been keen on signing England striker Welbeck from
Manchester United on transfer deadline day, but he became an Arsenal
player instead in a £16 million ($26.6 million, 20.2 million euros)
deal.

The one surprise in the Tottenham starting line-up was the inclusion
of Ryan Mason in midfield.

The 23-year-old was a scoring substitute in Wednesday night's 3-1
League Cup victory over Nottingham Forest, but this was his first
taste of Premier League action.

The first 45 minutes were goalless, but not short of incident, as
referee Michael Oliver booked Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jack Wilshere as
well as Tottenham's Erik Lamela in the opening half hour.

Hugo Lloris, the Tottenham goalkeeper, was busy, making saves from
Wilshere, Welbeck, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Ramsey, but the man at the
other end, Wojchiech Szczesny, was also required to make significant
stops.

Nollywood's Newest Grandma

A few days ago, Nollywood actress, Shan George, was overcomed with joy
when her first son's girlfriend gave birth to a baby girl. For the
brand new grandma, this was more than a surprise gift. It was the
fulfillment of one of her wishes to have a female offspring.

The actress was quoted, in a recent interview published in a popular
tabloid, as saying that she felt great welcoming her granddaughter.

She said, "Now that I have a girl in the family, it feels cool,
really. Children are a beautiful gift from God. The best thing about
being a grandmother is the fact that as a Christian, God's promise of
keeping me alive to see my children's children has been fulfilled."

Chelsea Clinton Uses Twitter And Facebook To Announce Birth Of Daughter

Former president Bill Clintonand former secretary of state Hillary
Rodham Clinton said on Saturday they were "blessed, grateful, and so
happy" to become grandparents. Their daughter, Chelsea, gave birth on
Friday night to her first child, Charlotte.

Chelsea Clintonannounced the news on Twitter and Facebook early on
Saturday, saying she and husband Marc Mezvinsky were "full of love,
awe and gratitude as we celebrate the birth of our daughter, Charlotte
Clinton Mezvinsky".

The former president and first lady said in a statement: "Chelsea is
well and glowing. Marc is bursting with pride. Charlotte's life is off
to a good start."

The Mezvinskys live in New York City, but the family did not say where
the child was born or provide additional details on her birth.

The news comes as Hillary Clinton deliberates whether to run for the
White House in 2016. She is the leading Democratic contender to
succeed President Barack Obama, her 2008 campaign rival, and has said
she expects to make a decision around the beginning of next year.

The baby has been eagerly anticipated, with the former first lady and
senator for New York calling grandmother her "most exciting title
yet". She even has picked out the first book she intends to read to
her grandchild, the classic Goodnight Moon. Clinton has also said she
didn't want to make any decisions about another campaign until the
baby's arrival, pointing to her interest in enjoying becoming a
grandmother for the first time.

Bill Clinton canceled a Saturday fundraising visit to Denver, for
Democratsrunning for the Senate and governor, but he called in to an
event for the embattled Democratic Senator Mark Udall to deliver his
11-minute speech by speakerphone.

"I hope I get an excused absence," he told the crowd. "You all know my
family just got a little bigger, and I figured I should stay home
where I'm really needed."

Clinton has been eager to become a grandfather. During an event with
former President George W Bush in September, Clinton's cellphone rang
on stage and he joked that only two people had the number "and they
are related to me", musing that he hoped he wasn't becoming "a
premature grandfather".

"Every day I get up and I say, 'You have to remember whose child this
is. Do not interfere. Be there when you are welcome. Be loving but not
judgmental," Clinton said, to laughs, in an interview with CNN at his
annual Clinton Global Initiative, days before the baby's arrival.

The 34-year-old Chelsea Clinton said in an interview with Glamour
magazine last year that she and her husband had hoped to make 2014
"the year of the baby". She announced her pregnancy in April, at the
end of a forum in New York on female empowerment.

"I just hope I will be as good a mom to my child and, hopefully,
children as my mom was to me," she said at the time.

Even in her late stage of pregnancy, the younger Clinton helped
preside over the family's annual conference last week, conducting
interviews on stage and announcing efforts to promote community
service and stop the killing of elephants and trafficking of ivory. An
advocate for elephants, she warned her child "could grow up in a
planet without elephants".

Chelsea Clinton grew up in the public eye as a teenager in the White
House, later graduating from Stanford and Columbia universities. She
worked in finance in New York and in public health, earning a
doctorate from Oxford University.

She serves as vice-chair of the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton
Foundation, and helps direct its humanitarian and philanthropic
efforts around the globe. She recently left NBC News, where she served
as a special correspondent.

The new parents, who married in 2010, were friends as teenagers in
Washington and both attended Stanford. Mezvinsky is a hedge fund
manager and the son of former representatives Majorie Margolies of
Pennsylvania and Edward Mezvinsky of Iowa, longtime friends of the
Clintons.

Messi Insulted Me -Weligton

Malaga defender Weligton claims he grabbed Lionel Messi by the throat
because the Barcelona forward had insulted him by calling him a "son
of a bitch',Soccernetreports

Weligton was shown a yellow card late on in Wednesday's 0-0 draw for
an incident that left Messi on the floor.

The defender appeared to initiate contact with a minor
shoulder-to-shoulder bump before briefly grasping the Argentina
captain by the throat and pushing him backward.

However, Weligton says he only reacted and confronted Messi because of
the words that his opponent had initially said to him.

"A minute before, Messi tried to play a one-two, I tried to block him
with my arm," Weligton told Cadena SER. "He thought I caught him in
the face, but it was by accident. You can see from the images. He got
angry and came at me, calling me a 'son of a bitch.' That was when I
caught him by the throat."

The pair did not discuss the incident after the game, and the Malaga
man said there was nothing left to talk about.

Google Urged To Change Privacy Rules

European data privacy regulators have put renewed pressure on Google
to alter its privacy policy.

It follows changes to the policy two years ago which regulators felt
breached European rules.

Among other things, it says Google must tell users exactly what data
is collected and with whom it is shared.

Google said it was working with regulators to "explain its privacy
policy changes".

The dispute has been running since March 2012 when Google consolidated
its 60 privacy policies into one and started combining data from
YouTube, Gmail and Google Maps.

Users were given no means to opt out of the changes.

Although Google has not been directly accused of acting illegally, it
has been accused of providing "incomplete and approximate" details
raising "deep concerns about data protection and the respect of the
European law".

Google did make some changes to its privacy policy in March this year,
linking to individual services from its main privacy document.

"It has made some changes but our investigation won't end until we
believe it is fully compliant," said a spokesman for the UK's
information commissioner's office (ICO).

In a letter addressed to Google's chief executive Larry Page, the
European Union's data protection working party wrote: "Google must
meet its obligations with respect to the European and national data
protection legal frameworks and has to determine the means to achieve
these legal requirements."

A spokesman for Google told the Reuters news agency that it was
looking forward to discussing the new guidelines.

"We have worked with different data protection authorities across
Europe to explain our privacy policies," he said.

Muhammad Ali's Secret Child Begs To See Father

Muhammad Ali is known for his iconic boxing status as well as a family
consisting of nine children. But it turns out the legendary athlete is
the father of a secret love child he had from a 20-year affair.

In an interview with theDaily Mirror, Kiiursti Mensah Ali claims a
1988 paternity test proves she is Ali's child and that he agreed to
have his name on her birth certificate. Ali not only acknowledged
Kiiursti on the birth certificate, the sports legend also made an
effort to be a presence in her life by visiting Kiiursti and her mom
Barbara Mensah several times when she was little.

"Muhammad Ali is my dad - but everything changed the moment he married
her," Kiiursti said about how her father's marriage to his fourth wife
Lonnie Williams in 1986 changed their relationship. For Kiiursti, it
all comes down to Lonnie, who married Ali three years after he was
diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.

"He stopped coming to see me, she added. "As the years went by he got
sicker and sicker. She stopped him having a relationship with me. It's
been devastating.

According to Kiiursti, Ali met Mensah in 1967 when she was a
17-year-old high school student in Houston, Texas. Unlike the other
girls who were obviously attracted to him, Mensah's nonchalant
attitude toward Ali struck a nerve with the athlete, who Kiiursti
said, "made sure my mom was given his number."

Although he was still married to his first wife Belinda Boyd, that
didn't prevent Ali from carrying on an affair with Mensah, who went to
all his big fights including the "Thrilla in Manila" against Joe
Frazier, the "Rumble in the Jungle" versus George Foreman and a title
defense in Puerto Rico in 1976.

"I think my mum still loves him to this day. She was the only one who
stood up to him," Kiiursti shared with the Mirror. "He was the love of
her life. At the time, the press knew they were together a lot, but
they just didn't know how close they had become. They never really
stopped seeing each other ever, until Lonnie came along and made him
cut ties with us."

Despite Lonnie's efforts, Kiiursti ended up becoming close to some of
Ali's other children. In addition to having a close relationship with
Muhammad Ali Jr., Kiiursti has met the elder Ali's first child Maryum
as well as reached out to her sister Hannah and Ali's twins Jamillah
and Rasheda. Ali's daughter Laila has met Kiiursti numerous times,
Kiiursti revealed as she opened up about the reaction she's received
from the rest of Ali's kids.

"The rest said I just want money. I said, 'Seriously, you just don't
know what's going on, do you?' I just left it alone. Laila and I
actually used to see each other when we were younger, I've also been
to a couple of her fights," said Kiiursti.

It Doesn't Matter How You Win As Long As You Win -Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather tells Fight Hype about his performance in Marcos
Maidana rematch, hinting on his plan to change his fight team.

How are you feeling after the rematch with Maidana?

I feel good. The first time we fought, I think it was a lot more
exciting than the second fight. Remember, in the first fight, I said I
was going to stand there and fight him, give the fans a real exciting
fight, but, you know, the second time, I basically played chess. Every
move is calculated. Every move is thought out, and that's what it was.

Did you know going into the rematch that you were going to play chess
with him or was that more of an adjustment you made as the fight
played out?

Well, of course I love my father, but what I didn't like was my father
telling people and doing interviews saying, "Floyd is going to use his
legs." I didn't like that at all. I love my father, but I don't like
no one to give up the game plan. I just believe the game plan is just
watch; watch and see what happens, that's the game plan. In the third
round, when he hit me with that shot after the bell, it was a real
good shot; it got my attention. It was nothing I never felt before,
but it was a really good shot which got my attention.

There's a video out there claiming that Maidana knocked out one of
your teeth with that shot. Back at the Big Boy Mansion after the
fight, I don't remember you having any issues or complaining, but just
to set the record straight, did you lose a tooth from that punch?

No, he didn't knock my teeth out. Not at all! He's a strong guy, he's
a good puncher, but no, as far as my teeth missing, absolutely not.

Speaking of teeth, talk to me about the bite incident.

A lot of people don't know, but eight-ounce gloves are not like gloves
you buy from Walmart, gloves you buy from Target, or gloves you buy
from Sports Authority. These are custom, professional gloves, which
are really not that thick and that padded. Actually, you can shake
someone's hand and get a good grip on somebody with having an
eight-ounce glove on your hand. He bit three of my fingers. A lot of
people are saying, "Well how did he get that hurt with gloves on?" A
human bite is extremely hard. It's one of the worst bites you can
receive and he bit me in the eighth round. It didn't go through the
glove, but he was holding me so tight, the skin on the middle finger
bust a little bit. When I took the glove off, my middle finger was
bleeding a little bit. I think that, you can go back and look, I don't
know if it was the 11th round, I hit him with a body shot and I came
back and I hit him on the belt line. He tried to say I hit him low,
but I hit him on the belt line, which is legal, and he kept trying to
buy time and take a breather. That's what he did when he bit me. I
mean, he knew what he was doing. I take my hat off to him. I respect
him for doing whatever he had to do to survive, but I think that came
out of frustration.

What were your thoughts on the performance of Kenny Bayless? Were you
pleased with his job refereeing the fight?

He's a great referee. Tony Weeks is a great referee. But this is the
truth right here. Kenny Bayless can look in my eyes and know that I
wasn't lying about him biting me. He just didn't have proof. But he
bit hard, extremely hard.

During the post-fight press conference, you said that you felt like
you performed better in the first fight. I know that fight may have
looked more entertaining, but personally, I thought you looked better
in the rematch. Now that you've had a chance to go back and watch the
fight, do you still feel like you performed better the first time you
fought him?

I'm just a big critic of myself. I'm very, very harsh on myself. I
gave myself a C, but the thing is this, it doesn't matter how you win
as long as you win. As I've said in past interviews, I can always find
a way to win. Every win is not going to be super spectacular or may
not be fan-friendly, but it's an art. You can go watch Bobby Fischer
play chess a thousand times and he can approach it many different
ways. Some people he can beat in two different moves and some people
in 12 moves. It's chess.

I've been around you both before and after a lot of different fights
now. It seemed like something was different leading up to this
particular one though. I know you never take anyone lightly, but were
you more focused going into this rematch?

Actually, I was more focused for the first fight. More focused in the
first fight, more relaxed this fight.

Is that because this was a rematch, so you kind of knew what to expect
from Maidana heading into it?

I'm not really sure. I was just more relaxed this fight. I think I was
a different fighter this fight and I think he was a different fighter
this fight

Chelsea Preserve Lead, Rooney Sent Off In United Win

Premier League leaders Chelsea conserved their three-point advantage
by beating Aston Villa 3-0 on Saturday, while Wayne Rooney was sent
off as Manchester United edged West Ham United.

Having drawn 1-1 at champions Manchester City last weekend, Chelsea
continued their unbeaten start to the season with a straightforward
win over Villa at Stamford Bridge.

Oscar gave Chelsea the lead in the seventh minute when he steered home
a cut-back from Brazilian countryman Willian, who had seen his initial
shot parried by Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan.

Diego Costa added a second goal just before the hour, glancing a
header past Guzan from Cesar Azpilicueta's cross to take his tally to
eight goals in his first six Premier League games.

The Brazil-born Spain striker also played a role in Chelsea's third
goal with a shot that Guzan could only push straight at Villa defender
Aly Cissokho, enabling Willian to stab home from close range.

"Even during the period the game was 1-0, when it could be open, it
was always closed because we controlled the game," said Chelsea
manager Jose Mourinho.

"When we weren't dangerous, we kept the ball. The result was a
consequence of our dominance."

Southampton remain Chelsea's closest rivals after winning 2-1 at home
to Queens Park Rangers, with Ryan Bertrand and Graziano Pelle finding
the net either side of a Charlie Austin effort.

United climbed six places to seventh, eight points below Chelsea,
after seeing off West Ham 2-1 at Old Trafford, but their victory was
overshadowed by the red card shown to captain Rooney for violent
conduct.

Injury problems forced United manager Louis van Gaal to give a debut
to 19-year-old centre-back Paddy McNair.

But they took a fifth-minute lead when Rooney swept home Rafael da
Silva's cross to become the outright third-highest scorer in Premier
League history with 176 goals; one more than Thierry Henry.

Radamel Falcao set up Robin van Persie to rattle in United's second
goal mid-way through the first half, but Diafra Sakho reduced the
arrears for West Ham by nodding in after Enner Valencia's header hit
the bar.

Rooney was shown a straight red card in the 59th minute for kicking
out at the fleeing Stewart Downing -- his first club dismissal since
March 2009 -- but United's 10 men held on to secure victory.

Liberia's Deputy Health Minister, Dr. B. Dahn,Quarantines Self After Assistant Dies Of Ebola

Liberia's chief medical officer, who is also a deputy health minister,
has put herself in quarantine as a precaution against Ebola after one
of her assistants died from the disease, the government said on
Saturday.

Bernice Dahn is the latest senior West African medical official to be
directly affected by an outbreak of Ebola, which has killed over 3,000
people as it spreads across most of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.

"She has placed herself under self observation due to the fact that
her special assistant contracted the virus," Isaac Jackson, Liberia's
deputy information minister, told Reuters.

Jackson said that the government praised Dahn's decision to come
forward to be monitored after potentially coming into contact with the
disease.

"If everyone were to do what Dr. Dahn has done, Liberia would be free
of Ebola," he said.

The latest figures from the World Health Organization show that the
death toll from the worst outbreak of Ebola on record has killed at
least 3,091 people, out of 6,574 probable, suspected and confirmed
cases.

Liberia has recorded 1,830 deaths, around three times as many as
Guinea or Sierra Leone, the two other most affected countries. Nigeria
and Senegal have had confirmed cases of Ebola but appear to have
prevented it from spreading.

Although relatively common in Central Africa, the hemorrhagic fever
has taken West Africa by surprise, spreading into heavily populated
areas and across borders before authorities were able to coordinate
their response.

Already weak national health care systems have been over-run by the
disease, which has infected 375 health care workers in the region,
killing 211 of them.

Sheik Umar Khan, the doctor leading the fight against Ebola in Sierra
Leone, contracted the disease himself and died in July.

Foreign governments and international organizations are dispatching
funds, supplies and personnel to the region amid warnings that the
disease could claims tens or hundreds of thousands of lives before it
is halted.

Golden Eaglets Beat Gabon 5-0, Qualifies For African U-17 Championships

Nigeria's U-17 team, the Golden Eaglets, are through to next year's
African U-17 Championships scheduled to take place in Niger Republic
as the Eaglets thrashed their counterparts from Gabon 5-0 on Saturday
at the UJ Esuene Stadium in Calabar.

The result was more than good enough for the Eaglets who only lost 2-1
in the reverse fixture a fortnight ago as they pulled through by a 6-2
aggregate score line.

The comprehensive win by the Nigerian youngsters was understandably
heart warming for the fans in Calabar as well as Coach Emmanuel
Amuneke who has persistently stayed positive that his lads would
qualify despite their first leg defeat.

In Saturday's thrilling encounter, it was Captain Kelechi Nwakali that
secured the opener for the Eaglets scoring from the penalty spot with
barely two minutes into the game.

That was the needed tonic for the Eaglets who were all over their
opponents and increased their lead through Ebere Osinachi who made it
two for Nigeria and added another one before half time.

The Eaglets were far from done as they added two more goals in the
second half, both goals coming from substitute Kehinde Ayinde who made
sure that the Eaglets seal their place at next year's cadet
Championships in neighbouring Niger with a 6-2 aggregate score line.

One Killed, Many Injured As Another Building Collapses In Anambra

One person was killed and about 20 others sustained injuries when a
three-storey building under construction collapsed at Eziora village,
Adazi-Ani in Anaocha local council area of Anambra yesterday.

The building, jointly owned by Mr. Uche Okeke and his five siblings
who are children of the transport magnet, Chief GU Okeke, was at the
completion stage when it collapsed.

It was gathered that over 25 persons were working on the site when the
incident occurred and at the time of filing this report, one person
was still trapped under the rubble.

Okeke, who spoke to reporters said: "It is a sad thing and we are
still confused over the incident because we awarded the contract over
a year ago to a professional. We have spent millions of naira on the
project and we were not in doubt that quality materials were used in
the construction.

"One worker was still trapped and we immediately ordered for earth
moving equipment from Onitsha to remove the rubbles to save his life.

"We reported to the Police immediately and they helped us in the
rescue mission. Unfortunately, the man under the rubble died before he
could be rescued."

According to him, the body of the deceased had been deposited at St.
Joseph's Hospital mortuary at Adazi-Nnukwu.

One of the labourers, who identified himself as Mr. Olisa Obaze, said
he broke his knee cap in an attempt to jump down from the three-storey
building.

He said: "We were carrying blocks upstairs when we suddenly heard a
large crack sound. We scampered for safety and I had to jump from the
three-storey building. After the incident, we started calling on our
members and realized that one man was still under the debris."

Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Uchenna Ezeh said that full
investigation into the matter has begun.

Health Benefits Of Vinegar

The name vinegar comes from both Latin and French origins.

The Latin word vinum, means wine, and acer, means sour, while the
French words vin, means wine, and aigre, means sour. Together, the
word 'vinaigre' literally means sour wine.

One of the earliest known vinegars was made over 5,000 years ago in
Babylon, when a cask of wine, past its time, fermented and turned
sour. In ancient Rome, fermented rye, figs, grapes, and dates were
popular ingredients. Today's vinegars are made from corn, barley, and
other grains; grapes, apples, and other fruits.

The natural sugars found in these fruits have been turned into vinegar
via some processes of fermentation. However, finished vinegar has no
alcohol in it.

Today, there are varieties of vinegar depending on the origin. The
most common and widely used variety is the pure white vinegar. It is
primarily made from the alcohol derived from corn. Other varieties of
vinegar include apple cidar vinegar, malt vinegar, red wine vinegar,
white wine vinegar, balsamic vinegar, cane vinegar, coconut vinegar,
etc.

According to the Vinegar Institute, an international trade association
representing vinegar manufacturers and bottlers, worldwide vinegar
sales are now approaching $225m annually.

Medicinal benefits of vinegar

Vinegar has been used medicinally since ancient times. Roman soldiers
valued vinegar and water as an antiseptic health drink. Hippocrates,
the famous Greek physician, prescribed vinegar as medicine.

A 2005 study at Arizona State University tested patients with type 2
diabetes, prediabetes, or no symptoms of diabetes, as they consumed a
breakfast containing 87 grams of carbohydrates just after drinking a
glass of water containing either 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar or
a placebo. Vinegar consumption slowed the rise of blood sugar in all
three groups, up to 34 per cent.

In 2010, the Annals of Nutrition and Metabolism published a study
showing that vinegar's antiglycemic properties reduce blood sugar
levels that rise after meals in healthy adults.

Health benefits of vinegar in pets

Apple Cider Vinegar is an excellent item to keep in your pet supplies.
It can help improve health, control pests, and ensure general
well-being of your pet. It doesn't cost a lot and it works well. You
can give it a try if you need to find something that works for any of
the problems or needs outlined.

Skin care:Wendy Volhard, author ofHolistic Guide for a Healthy Dog,
recommends spraying itchy skin and developing hot spots with ACV. This
will help to improve your dog's skin and coat. Dry skin and irritated
skin respond well to ACV applied directly. Brush the vinegar through
the dog's coat; not only does this improve the shine but also
deodorises the dog! For skin care improvements, add a teaspoon a day
to water or food.

Ear cleansing:Plain ACV or a vinegar-based herbal tincture can help
keep a dog's ears clean and healthy. Place a few drops in each ear and
gently massage, or apply with a cotton swab. The anti-bacterial
properties of ACV make it an ideal ear cleanser.

Digestive disorders:Mix one teaspoon of ACV to every two cups of water
in your pet's drinking bowl. Ingesting this remedy will balance the
acid/alkaline ratio of the digestive tract; prevent intestinal gas,
and constipation.

Tear stains: one teaspoon of ACV in either the food or water will
significantly reduce staining around the eyes and mouth of lighter
haired dogs.

Fleas, ticks, mites: Adding a teaspoon of ACV to your pet's drinking
water is a good way of preventing large infestations of fleas and
mites. However, another remedy that can be used is to bathe your dog
as normal, and after all of the shampoo has been washed from their
coat; give them a final rinse of ACV mixed with equal parts water. Not
only does this repel fleas, ticks, and mites, it can promote a shiny
coat and healthy skin. Use this method once every two weeks in
conjunction with daily combing using a flea comb.

Arthritis: one teaspoon of ACV per two cups of drinking water, every
single day, should be enough to prevent arthritis flare-ups. Adding
the ACV to their daily diets can help prevent the need for expensive,
stressful vet visits, and costly painkillers.

Mange, tooth decay, parasites, bladders stones, kidney infections,
skin allergies, hair loss, and Streptoccocus, can be prevented by
adding just one teaspoon of pure apple cider vinegar to your pet's
drinking water each day. Add just a very small amount ofACV to begin
with, as your pet needs to become accustomed to the taste, and
gradually increase it to a full teaspoon over the course of a week or
two. From then on, it should be a daily additive to your pet's diet.

How To Reduce Stress In Your Life

Stress is an unfortunate condition that affects more and more people
everyday in our hectic, fast paced society. Stress is something that
every person has to manage on a daily basis. However, being "stressed
out" is an unhealthy condition.

Whether the source of your stress stems from your home, workplace,
finances, or other external/internal pressures, the effects of stress
can become physically, emotionally, and psychologically hazardous to
your health.

Stress is difficult to define because it is a very subjective problem.
What may be stressful for one person may have virtually no adverse
affects on someone else. Response to stress is also individualized.
Not everyone reacts to stress the same way. Because of this,
scientists and medical professionals have created a list of symptoms
that are usually related to stress. In doing this, they can identify
certain markers or symptoms and attempt to properly diagnose the cause
of the symptom (stress).

One very common symptom associated with and induced by stress is
insomnia. Insomnia is a very common sleep disorder that keeps you
awake for extended periods night after night. Stress affects the
levels of certain hormones in the body. High levels of these hormones
can make sleep more difficult. The sleep problems that stress creates
may ultimately lead to sleep deprivation. Insufficient sleep can
potentially worsen your dilemma by further exacerbating whatever
situation is causing your stress in the first place.

As far as learning how to manage your stress personally, the best
answer is to find ways to relieve some of the stress in your life.
Below is a simple suggestions that may potentially work to reduce the
stress in your life.

Unplug- Turn off the cell phone, power down your computer. Today, many
people feel that they are 'on call' all the time. Sever the ties and
enjoy some quiet time. Grab that book you've been meaning to read and
head to the park, or just stay at home and relax in a comfy spot.
Enjoy a little peace and quiet.

Egypt Adjusts Clocks Once Again

Egypt has rolled back clocks one hour for the end of daylight savings
time, the fourth change in less than five months.

As of midnight on Thursday, Egypt is two hours ahead of Greenwich Mean
Time and six hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time.

The switch between summer and winter time was abandoned after the 2011
uprising that ousted president Hosni Mubarak. But then it was abruptly
revived in May when the clocks sprung forward in a move aimed at
alleviating rolling power blackouts.

However, just weeks later the clocks fell back again at the start of
the Muslim holy month of Ramadan - which this year fell at the hottest
point of the summer - to shorten the daily dawn-to-dusk fast.

The clocks returned to summer time when Ramadan ended in July, but now
winter has come again, despite the fact that daytime temperatures
still hover around 30C.

The initial switch in May caused widespread disruptions, particularly
at the airport, when local flight times were changed at the last
minute.

There were no reports of major disruptions this time around.

Egypt Air, the country's main airline, changed the local timing of
several flights and advised passengers to arrive three hours early
instead of the normal two in order to avoid any confusion, according
to the state-runAl-Ahram daily.

Airlines Cleared For Mobile Phone Use During Flights

The European Aviation Safety Agency says electronic devices such as
mobile phones can be left switched on during flights.

EASA says that electronic devices do not pose a safety risk.

The announcement clears the way for airlines to permit the use of
mobile phones, once they have conducted their own safety reviews.

Currently airline passengers have to switch devices to flight mode and
make calls from the airport terminal.

The EASA sets the framework for airlines making safety decisions.

The agency said each airline would still have to go through an
assessment process, ensuring aircraft systems are not affected by the
signals from portable electronic devices before establishing their own
rules for their operation.

As a result there could be a delay in implementing the new rules at
some airlines.

It also says that airlines may opt for different policies on the use
of mobile devices.

Canadian Nabbed With 51 Turtles In His Pants

The scheme was uncovered last month but was only revealed this week in
US federal court documents cited in a Friday report by the Toronto
Globe and Mail.

According to the newspaper, Canadian border officials arrested Kai Xu
as he tried to cross into Windsor, Ontario from Detroit, Michigan in
August, and handed him over to US authorities.

"Xu was found to have 51 live turtles taped to his person," a US Fish
and Wildlife Service said in an affidavit cited by the Globe and Mail.

The seized turtles were North American varieties including eastern box
turtles, red-eared sliders and diamondback terrapins that sell for as
much as $800.

A second Canadian, Lihua Lin, was arrested on Wednesday at the Detroit
airport, bound for Shanghai with more than 200 North American pond
turtles in his checked luggage. He had been dropped off at the airport
by Xu.

Xu and Lin have been charged with smuggling and other related
offenses, and face up to 10 years in prison if convicted.

None of the allegations have been proven in court.

Days ago, Controversial Actress, Tonto Dikeh took to her instagram
page to rant about how blessed she is, Opening a Facebook Page just 3
days and having over 1 million likes already.

Well, investigation reveals that those likes are fake, and are robot

that amount of likes within 4 days via advertising on facebook. .

Taking a close look at the Facebook page, you would quite agree that
it is inactive, so much for a page with such huge Likes.

Her post on the page hardly get 20 comments..and 100 likes

The talking about of the page is less than 9!! How come? For a page

NFF To Dump Keshi For Siasia

Samson Siasia could be in line to replace Stephen Keshi as Nigeria
coach unless the National Sports Commission stops the Nigeria Football
Federation.

Goal exclusively gathered from a top NFF official at the weekend that
the Super Eagles' poor results against Congo where they lost 3-2 in
Calabar as well as the goalless draw away to South Africa has blotted
the impressive record of the trainer.

A top official of the Nigeria Football Federation disclosed that
"there are many factors standing in the way of Stephen Keshi to be
re-appointed as the Eagles chief coach and I will give you a
break-down but before that I must say that Keshi must be most grateful
to the Honourable Sports Minister (Tammy Danagogo) for fighting for
his retention as the chief coach.

"The minister has never hidden his love and preference for him and he
based it on Keshi's past achievement which he said was more than
necessary for him to continue his job. The minister still believes
that the Eagles under Keshi could still bounce back and qualify for
the 2015 Afcon in Morocco.

"But we at the NFF here know that the problem with the team is more
than what we are seeing from the surface. Firstly, there is no
commitment on the part of the players Keshi is parading for the 2015
Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and if something drastic is not done,
Nigeria may not be among those nations that would campaign in Morocco
2015," the source who begged for his identity not to be revealed told
Goal.

The NFF source also revealed that most of the members of the NFF
Executive Board are no longer at ease with the alleged antics and
disrespect of Keshi towards them and now want another coach who would
listen to them and respect them as his employers. They have also not
forgotten in a hurry the way Keshi allegedly humiliated the Aminu
Maigari Board members during the Africa Cup of Nations which Nigeria
won in South Africa in 2013 and felt highly disappointed with the way
the Coach received all the accolades and praises from all and sundry
without mere mention of the NFF Board and Secretariat.

"We all know how Keshi threatened to dump the team in South Africa
shortly after the Eagles won the 2013 Afcon. The controversies
generated by this singular action of his put the NFF then in a bad
light and so many other crises including the Eagles threatening not to
play one of the qualifying matches for the last World Cup as well as
during the World Cup proper when the players demanded for their
bonuses are all crises that have put negative mark on the NFF.

"So unless the National Sports Commission decides to use its veto
powers, I don't think Keshi would be retained as the Eagles coach.
Even the N6 million that the minister said he is requesting for cannot
be met by the NFF as a matter of fact. The NFF is broke for now and
the crisis has not helped matters.

"It seems everybody is speaking favourably about Samson Siasia to come
back to the post he left in 2011. Some of us believed that Siasia has
learned his lessons and he would adjust where he has failed to bounce
back with the Eagles. Another thing is that it will be very difficult
for us to pick the 2015 Nations Cup ticket if we continue to parade
the same players Keshi is using to prosecute the 2015 Afcon qualifiers
so it is preferable Siasia comes to the rescue and bring new ideas and
players that are fighters to salvage the situation.

"The reason for the choice of Siasia is that the NFF cannot afford the
salary and emoluments of a foreign coach now, so employing a foreign
coach to replace Keshi now is out of the issue. But we will know
precisely how it goes after Tuesday when NFF elections will take
place," the source concluded.

Muslims Gather In Paris To Denounce IS 'Barbarism'

Hundreds of people gathered in Paris on Friday answering a call by
Muslim leaders to denounce the "barbarism" of Islamic State militants,
as flags across France flew at half mast after the beheading of a
French national.

Imams and ordinary Muslims have rallied to condemn the execution of
55-year-old mountaineer Herve Gourdel this week by militants in
Algeria with ties to the IS jihadists, as the country mourns the
brutal murder.

"This gathering is the strong and vibrant expression of our desire for
national unity and of our unwavering will to live together," Dalil
Boubakeur, head of the French Council of the Muslim Faith -- an
official representative for the country's roughly five million Muslims
-- told the gathering outside Paris's main mosque.

"Islam is a religion of peace", he said, adding it "orders respect for life".

Leading Muslim figures also signed a message published in French
newspapers Friday condemning "atrocities committed in the name of a
murderous ideology hiding behind the Islamic religion".

"We are also the 'filthy French'," said the statement, referring to an
epithet the Islamic State group has used.

- Flags at half-mast -

The demonstration came as flags nationwide flew at half-mast to mourn Gourdel.

The mountaineer was kidnapped on Sunday by Algerian group Jund
al-Khilifa shortly after a chilling call by IS militants for Muslims
to kill citizens from countries involved in a US-led coalition
fighting the extremists, "especially the spiteful and filthy French".

The threat sparked concern in France, and authorities have since
strengthened security in public places and on transport.

The foreign ministry also widened its vigilance alert for nationals
abroad from around 30 countries earlier this week to some 40 nations --
including Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines.

France has nevertheless said it refuses to be cowed by IS threats. The
government announced Thursday air strikes had been carried out in Iraq
-- the second bombing raids in the space of a week.

Fighter planes destroyed four hangars near Fallujah city, west of
Baghdad, that "likely" contained weapons and other equipment, a
military source said.

Paris opposed the 2003 invasion of Iraq but was one of the first to
sign up for an active role in the US-led campaign against the IS
group.

It has six Rafale fighter jets based in the United Arab Emirates,
carrying out the strikes in Iraq.

While it has pledged to push forward with the air strikes, Paris has
stressed it will not deploy ground troops, nor will it expand
operations to Syria, as the United States has done.

But the presidency announced France would "continue and intensify its
support for Syrian opposition forces who are fighting jihadist
groups".

Leadership Tussle Among Boko Haram Members, 30 Killed - VOA

According to VOA Hausa, no fewer than 30 boko haram fighters were
killed as a result of internal fighting among the sect members in
Madagali LGA Adamawa state.

The disagreement started when majority of the sect members decided
that they will abandon the senseless killings and surrender all their
weapons to the Army and plead for mercy.

Angered by this development, the other members accused the first group
of betrayal and in the process tempers were flared and guns corked.
Serious exchange of gunfire occoured between the group that wants to
repent and the other faction that wants to continue their jihad.

In the end up to 30 Boko Haram members were killed. Now the group is
split into 2 in Madagali.

Reports indicate that there is scarcity of fuel which are needed for
their cars as a result of the current blockade of Michika-Madagali
axis by the Nigerian Army which is causing a lot of aprehension among
BH boys as they will have no cars to flee if the military enters those
areas.

Lagos Sets Up Coroner's Inquest To Probe Synagogue Building Collapse

A Coroner's Inquest under the Lagos State Coroner's System Law No. 7
of 2007 was on Friday instituted to probe the cause and manner of the
six storey Synagogue building collapse, which led to the death of at
least 78 people.

The Coroner in this case is Magistrate O. A. Komolafe, who also sat as
Coroner in the Dana Air Crash case.

The building which was under construction was partly being used as a
guest lodge, prior to the incident.

The leader of the Synangogue Church of All Nations, to which the
collapsed building belonged, had claimed that the collapse was trigged
by activities of a "strange aircraft" which had allegedly hovered
above the building four times, within a few hours.

He claimed that he was the target of whoever was behind the move.

However, the Lagos State Attorney General & Commissioner for Justice,
Mr Ade Ipaye, has instigated a Coroner's Inquest under section 15 of
the Coroner Law which provides that a Coroner shall hold an inquest
whenever he is informed that the death of a deceased person lying
within his Coroner District was as a result of a violent, unnatural or
suspicious occurrence.

This information was disclosed in a statement by the spokesman, Lagos
State Ministry of Justice, Bola Akingbade.

In the statement, Ipaye highlighted that the Coroner had extensive
powers to investigate the cause and circumstances of death and bring
his findings and recommendations to the attention of appropriate
authorities.

"In doing this, he has all the powers of a magistrate to summon and
compel the attendance of witnesses, including medical examiners, and
require them to give evidence, produce documents or present other
relevant materials," he added.

He said: "The Law requires the verdict of a Coroner as certified in
writing to be forwarded to the State Attorney General and such verdict
may form the basis of criminal prosecutions depending on the evidence
collected".

According to Ipaye, the Coroner, Magistrate O. A. Komolafe is expected
to announce his sitting/visitation schedules and other details and to
hold the inquest at the premises of the High Court of Lagos State, Oba
Akinjobi Way, Ikeja.

Brazil Want Germany Rematch

CBF President Jose Maria Marin believes the Selecao must face-off
against Joachim Low's side once again if they are to exorcise the
demons of their 7-1 World Cup defeat

Brazil Football Confederation (CBF) president Jose Maria Marin wants
to see a rematch between Brazil and Germany.

The Selecao suffered a 7-1 defeat to Joachim Low's side when the two
sides met in a World Cup semi-final this year, ending Brazil's dreams
of lifting the title on home soil for the first time.

And Marin says the time has come for Brazil to face their fears and
draw a line under what was their biggest ever World Cup defeat.

"We want to play a friendly match against Germany, so that we can
forget about what happened," he toldO Estado de Sao Paulo.

"It will be way to exorcize our demons, to turn a new page and make a
fresh start.

"There's no doubt about our performance, we were truly disappointing.
We will have another opportunity at home when we host the Olympic
Games, and our goal should be to try to make things better for our
fans, after what they endured last summer."

Brazil hope to start making up for their World Cup disappointment with
next year's Olympic Games when youth coach Alexandre Galo will lead
the U23 side in Rio as the Selecao hope to claim their first ever
football Olympic Gold.

"The team did not deliver in the World Cup," Marin continued.

"We have to be honest about that, but the Olympics may be an
opportunity to give the people something they did not get in 2014.

Eighty-two-year-old Marin will step down from his role in January and
be replaced by current vice-president Marco Polo Del Nero.

The Selecao continue theGillette Brasil Global Tournext month when
they meet Argentina in the Gillette Superclasico de las Americas in
Beijing before heading to Singapore to meet Japan.

Girl Freed by Boko Haram Pregnant -Bitrus

The abducted "Chibok girl" released on Wednesday is "pregnant and
mentally ill," the National Chairman of Chibok Community Development
Association, Dr. Pogu Bitrus, has toldTheCable.

Earlier on Thursday, the police revealed that the 20-year-old girl was
abandoned by suspected terrorists at Mubi in Adamawa State, from where
she was picked up. It also confirmed that she was one of the female
pupils of Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, abducted
in April by Boko Haram.

However, Bitrus said it was still uncertain if the girl was from
Chibok because her name did not correspond with any of the names in
the records of the girls that were captured by Boko Haram on April 14.

"I was speaking Kibaku to her, but she did not respond; she was
incoherent. She may be having mental issues as a result of trauma," he
said.

Bitrus added that preliminary tests - still not definitive - indicated
that the girl is pregnant.

He added, "When she was picked up, she was taken to a clinic, not a
standard hospital, and tests were carried out on her.

"From the tests, it was said she is pregnant, but that is still in the
speculative domain because a qualified medical doctor has not
confirmed that she is pregnant.

"However, we are still trying to establish if really she is from
Chibok, because from our sources, the last name of the released girl
does not tally with the surname of the person bearing the first name
of the released girl captured in our records and whose father is a
carpenter at Chibok. So, we are still trying to work out every
detail."

S'African Victims' Relations Set To Sue TB Joshua

Two South Africans who lost relatives when a church hostel in Lagos
collapsed have told theBBCthey intend to sue the General Overseer of
Synagogue Church of All Nations, Pastor Temitope Joshua.

TheBBCreported that the two men, who both lost sisters in the
collapse, were appealing for more families to come together in
bringing a case against the preacher.

At least 115 people, including 84 South Africans, died when the
multi-storey building fell down on September 12.

The authorities said it had more floors than its foundation could hold.

On Sunday, Joshua announced plans to travel to South Africa to visit
the families of the deceased.

Officials suspect the foundations were not suitable for extra floors
to be added to the building

Emergency workers alleged they were prevented from participating in
the rescue, only gaining full access to the site on Sunday afternoon.
But Joshua had denied these accusations.

"I understand that some families are afraid to take on someone who
purports to be God's messenger and I don't blame them but I will do
this," Thanduxolo Doro, whose sister died in the Lagos collapse said.

Thanduxolo Doro and Mpho Molebatsi waited at Johannesburg's OR Tambo
airport for days after the collapse for news of their sisters, who had
been visiting SCOAN.

Both families had last heard from their relatives hours before the collapse.

"It is not that the building collapsed, rather what was done after the
collapse - we didn't get any news from the church," Doro, whose sister
Vathiswa Madikiza died, told theBBC.

"When I contacted them they wouldn't tell me anything. We saw reports
that emergency workers were denied access initially, access that could
have saved lives. The actions of the church after the incident are
very telling," he said.

In an open letter published in South Africa's Star newspaper, Doro
called on more families to sue Joshua.

"I need to do this for her. Even if I stand alone, I am determined to
see that something is done," he told theBBC.

"I understand that some families are afraid to take on someone who
purports to be God's messenger and I don't blame them but I will do
this," he said.

Doro said he was informed by South African officials about his
sister's death this week, but had to wait for the results of the DNA
tests before her body could be repatriated for burial.

World's First Euthanasia Couple: 'Healthy' Couple To Die By Assisted Suicide on 64th Wedding Anniversary

Euthanasia is a medical term for assisted suicide. Mostly used for
medical reasons to end the pain and suffering of a terminally ill
person or a person living with a debilitating incurable disorder.

A healthy couple - an elderly husband and wife - have announced their
plans to die in the world's first 'couple' euthanasia - despite
neither of them being terminally ill. Instead the pair fear loneliness
if the other one dies first from natural causes.

Identified only by their first names, Francis, 89, and Anne, 86, they
have the support of their three adult children who say they would be
unable to care for either parent if they became widowed.

Their children have even gone so far as to find a practitioner willing
to carry out the double killings on the grounds that the couple's
mental anguish constituted the unbearable suffering needed to legally
justify euthanasia.

The couple, from Brussels, are receiving regular medical treatment for
age-related ailments.

Francis has received treatment for prostate cancer for 20 years and is
unable to spend a day without morphine and Anne is partially blind and
almost totally deaf.

They always go out shopping together because they are both scared that
one day the other will not return home.

They decided that life in a care home was not an option because of
their fear they would end up bedridden without the strength to insist
on euthanasia.

They are also afraid that a good retirement home would cost more than
their combined pensions and that they would have to dig into their
savings to afford it.

They planned to commit suicide on February 3 next year, their 64th
wedding anniversary, by placing plastic bags over their heads after
taking an overdose of sleeping pills.

"We want to go together because we both fear of the future,"said Francis.

"It's as simple as this: we are afraid of what lies ahead.

"Fear of being alone and above all, fear of the consequences of loneliness."

He said they eventually opted for euthanasia because they were too
scared to attempt to commit suicide.

"It takes courage to jump from the 20th floor and I am unable even if
I wanted to do it,"said Francis.

"It takes courage to hang, it takes courage to jump into the canal.
But a doctor who makes you a shot and lets you gently fall asleep? It
does not take courage."

The Man Behind CAN President Oritsejafor's $9.3m Cash and Arm Deal Exposed!

Felix Idiga is a well known man in the South East of Nigeria. He is
also close to Christian Association Of Nigeria (CAN) president, Pastor
Ayo Oristejafor.

Sources close to Felix says, Pastor Ayo is on the board of two
companies with Felix. One of such is SWAT Nigeria and Eagle Air
Nigeria.

Idiga, said to be the chief executive officer of

JAFAC group, is into construction with the NDDC (Niger Delta
Development Commission NDDC) as it's major customer.

People who are close to Felix says he made chunk of his money through
his association with the top shots of NDDC and major militants in the
South-South. Sources say he was allegedly involved in oil bunkering
along with emergency money bags like Scott Tommey and Delta based
Ayeri.

Felix Idiga was traced to the funds scuttled by the South African
police, those who know him well were not too surprised based on his
antecedents. Of recent he dumped the Imo
governor to pitch tent with the ruling party PDP just like Ali Modu
Sheriff to pursue his senatorial ambition in IMO.

According to reports, the private jet with a US registration number
N808HG was one of two jets cited by South African officials on
September 5 and is owned by Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor. The second is a
jet registered with the name Felix Idiga, the owner of Jafac Limited.
Mr. Oritsejafor's jet arrived South Africa with $9.3 million cash
loaded in several suitcases meant for the purchase of arms and
ammunitions.

Investigations have confirmed that under the South African laws, a
person entering or leaving the country is expected to carry cash not
exceeding R25, 000 (about US$2, 300), or the equivalent in foreign
currency notes. Also, arms usually involve a complex bank transfer
system needed to move the money between the countries involved in the
deal; they are rarely done in cash.

This contravention of the South African law and other laws governing
the movement of cash and the purchase of arms and ammunitions proves
that the intended transaction was illegal and is possibly intended to
smuggle arms to Nigerian to
continue to equip terrorists in the North, pirates and militants in
the Niger Delta and other forms of insurgence in Nigeria.

victim of popular Ukranian prankster, Vitalii Seiduk, who almost
knocked her down as she arrived at a fashion show, to watch her
sister, Kendall Jenner model for Balmain, in Paris.

Seiduk is known to have pranked other stars, including Will Smith (who
he tried to kiss), Leonardo Dicaprio and Brad Pitt (who alleged that
Vitalii had tried to "bury" his head in his groin), at different red
carpet shows.

White US Policeman Arrested Over Shooting Unarmed Black Man

A South Carolina state trooper has been sacked and arrested after
shooting an unarmed man whom he had seconds earlier pulled over for
not wearing a seatbelt.

Sean Groubert, 31, who is white, is seen on dashboard video shooting
Levar Jones, 35, who is black.

Mr Jones was struck in the hip and has been released from hospital. Mr
Groubert has been freed on bail.

The arrest comes soon after two high-profile incidents in which white
US police killed unarmed black men.

In video shot from a camera on the dashboard of Mr Groubert's patrol
car on 4 September, Mr Groubert pulls behind Mr Jones's truck in a
Richland County petrol station, then asks, "Can I see your licence
please?"

Mr Jones, who has just stepped out of the truck, turns and reaches
into the cab, with no apparent aggression in his manner.

An instant later Mr Groubert shouts "get out of the car" and bursts
into the frame with gun drawn, then opens fire before Mr Jones can
react.

In the next three seconds, at least four shots can be heard as Mr
Jones puts his hands over his head then crumples to the ground.
