Simple Tips To Lower Your Blood Pressure Without Drugs

When you consider that high blood pressure punches holes
into the lining of your arterial walls, it's easy to understand why
keeping it under control is so vital.

While the average American has a
blood pressure of about 130 over 85, you should strive for an optimal
blood pressure of 115 over 75 to minimize your risk of heart disease
and
stroke.

Hypertension

Because hypertension is a result of our response to stress, the easiest
way to cope with external triggers is to pause and take a deep breath,
according to the September 2007 issue of Natural Health. The mag
recommends a simple exercise that we've excerpted below.

1. Lie on your back with your feet flat on the floor and your knees
pointed toward the ceiling.

2. Inhale slowly through your nose for 6 counts.

3. Hold your breath for 3 counts.

4. Slowly exhale for 12 counts.

5. Hold your breath for 3 counts.

6. Continue this breathing pattern for 15 minutes.
