Guinea has confirmed that they would host Togo in their Group E
qualifier of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations on Friday, September 5,
2014 in Casablanca, Morocco.
Due to the outbreak of Ebola in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia, the
Confederation Of African Football (CAF) ordered that Guinea and Sierra
Leone could not host matches and competitions on their territories
until mid-September.
A letter dated August 18, 2014 and signed by General Secretary of the
Guinea Football Federation, Ibrahim Barry, informed CAF that the
Day-One AFCON qualifier would take place at the Mohamed V Stadium in
Casablanca.
The Federation Royale Marocaine de Football (FRMF) in agreement with
the authorities of the Kingdom of Morocco has agreed to host their
Guinea counterparts on their soil.
