Super Eagles: Stephen Keshi Gives NFF Fresh Conditions

Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi, says he would only accept to remain
as the Chief Coach of the national team if only the football body
would meet up with all the conditions that would make him comfortable
in carrying out his assignment effectively.

Mr Keshi, who spoke through his Spokesman, Emmanuel Ado, in Kaduna on
Sunday, said that for him to accept a fresh contract from the Nigerian
Football Federation (NFF) to handle the Eagles, the football body must
provide him a befitting accommodation in the nation's capital, Abuja,
an official car and be willing to pay him the sum of 15million Naira
as monthly salary among other demands.

He reiterated that since the NFF was wasting time in renewing his
contract more than a month after the World Cup in Brazil, he owes
nobody any obligation not to sign a new contract with another employer
if such opportunity beckons.

Keshi frowned at a situation where Nigeria takes good care of its
foreign coaches by providing them with all the luxuries, while such
treatment is not extended to indigenous ones, even when they have
performed well.

While he accused the NFF of reneging on most of the agreements it
reached with him in his last contract, such as owing him arrears of
salaries, not providing him with official vehicle and accommodation,
Keshi maintained that this time around, he would ensure that all the
agreements he reaches with the NFF are backed with either an immediate
implementation or concrete clause.

Keshi's demands came as the leadership crisis rocking the Nigerian
Football Federation(NFF) lingers.
