The Labour Party Zonal Campaign train to solicit the support of Imo
electorates kicks-off at Orlu, Imo State, next Saturday, for the 2015
general election.
In a meeting held at the party's state secretariat, Owerri, with the
various campaign committees the party's governorship flag bearer Barr.
Ngozi Olehi declared that the party will leave no stone un-turned as
the party hits the nooks and crannies of the state.
He told the members of the committee not to be deterred by the few
weeks left before the election, reminding them that what is required
at this stage is serious commitment and dedication-to save Imo state
from poor economic base.
Barr, Olehi therefore called on the people of the state to cry no more
as Labour party has come to give them hope through purposeful
leadership he will pilot, adding that it is only the Labour Party that
has the magic wand to save Imo state.
Speaking, the state organizing secretary of the party Comrade James
Okere said that Labour party will win the 2015 governorship election
as every odd favours the party, pointing out that the people of the
state need a credible candidate which the party has offered.
According to the Director-General of the Campaign Organization, Elder
Bona Uchennaya Akujobi the zonal tours was designed to give all the
zones equal opportunity in an interactive and on spot assessment of
their governor whose divine mandate is to save the masses from
visionless projects.
He hinted that the campaign team will be in Okigwe Zone on Monday
February 2nd, 2015 while Owerri Zone will take its turn later,
explaining that the winning train will go to all the local governments
and the wards in the state to meet with the people one on one while
the grand finale of the mother of rallies will come in a later date.
