The businessman's death on Monday, February 2, was confirmed via
Twitter by Ovation Magazine publisher,Dele Momodu.
The Nigerian Table Tennis Federation has also confirmed the death of
Okoya-Thomas who was the sponsor of the annual Asoju Oba of Lagos
Table Tennis Championship.
Before his death, Okoya-Thomas was the Asoju Oba of Lagos, Babasuwa of
Ijebu-Remo, Odofin of Ife and also the Chancellor of the Lagos State
University and Chairman of CFAO Nigeria Limited.
The official cause of his death is still unknown.
