Service Chiefs, Ministers In Aso Rock, Meet With Jonathan

Members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), service chiefs and
some presidential aides, on Wednesday, thronged the Presidential Villa
to pay solidarity visit on President Goodluck Jonathan, after losing
out in last Saturday's presidential poll.

It was observed that the weekly meeting of the Federal Executive
Council did not hold this week. Also, some female ministers came in a
group to visit the President.

The service chiefs and the National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo
Dasuki (retd) immediately entered into a closed door meeting with the
President.

None of the service chiefs spoke with journalists after the meeting,
which lasted for over one hour. The military chiefs stood for a while,
in discussion with the NSA at the forecourt of the president's office,
before driving out of the Presidential Villa.

Those who met with Jonathan are the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief
Marshal Alex Badeh; Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Kenneth Minimah;
Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Usman Jibrin, and Chief of Air
Staff, Air Marshal Adesola Amosu.

Ministers whom came are the Attorney-General of the Federation, Mr.
Mohammed Adoke (SAN); Minister of State II, Foreign Affairs, Senator
Musiliu Obanikoro; Minister of Interior, Mr. Abba Moro; Minister of
Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Aminu Wali, and Minister of National
Planning, Suleiman Abubakar.

Others are Minister of Women Affairs, Zainab Maina; Minister of
Communication Technology, Omobola Johnson; Minister of Water
Resources, Sarah Ochekpe; Minister of Environment, Laraba Mallam;
Minister Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Akon Eyakenyi, and
Aviation Minister, Osita Chidoka.
