Corpse of missing twins' father found in a canal

THE Ekiti State Police Command, yesterday, said it has found the
corpse of a middle aged man simply identified as Kola, who is the
father of twins said to be missing, after a manhunt was put together
for him two days ago.

Tragedy struck at 23, Temidire Street, Ajowa, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State
on Saturday when Kola's wife, Titilayo, a mother of four who delivered
a set of twins the prvious night was found dead in her one-room
apartment

Kola, who was with his wife throughout the night, just disappeared
with the set of twins after ostensibly killing their mother.

This development made their neighbours to raise an alarm, while the
police subsequently swung into action and pledged to get to the root
of the matter.

According to the statement by the Public Relations Officer of the
state Command, Mr. Victor Babayemi, in Ado-Ekiti, yesterday, Kola's
corpse was dumped by unknown persons in a canal at Oke Ila area of the
state capital.

The statement further added that the police are yet to trace the
whereabouts of the missing set of twins at press time.

According to the statement, "Kola was found murdered and dumped in a
canal at Oke Ila in Ado-Ekiti but the twins are yet to be found.
Investigation is in top gear to find the twins as well as the killers
of the couple."

It was, however, gathered that Kola may have been killed by those he
sold the set of twins to so that nobody would be able to link them
with the heinous crime.

Babayemi, however, assured that no stone would be left unturned to get
to the root of the matter
