Rector, Imo State Polytechnic, Umuagwo, Ohaji/Egbema Local Council
Area of the state, Rev. Fr. Wence Madu has been dragged to the dreaded
Okija Shrine in Anambra State, reports have said.
According to a letter conveying the invitation of the Rector to the
shrine, signed by one Ukaegbu N. Ogidi, there is a report of
injustice, collaboration and conspiracy made against the Rector by an
innocent and outraged staff of the Institution.
"Be informed also that you must come to the Ogwugwu with clean hands.
The Ogwugwu kills but only those whose hands are not clean, especially
those who committed evil against their fellow human beings at work
places, Churches, Mosques, Markets and other public places. You know
very well about the issue at stake but turned round to conspire and
deal with an innocent person.
"You should feel free to come whenever you are invited to answer the
report against you. You should also feel free to reverse the injustice
with your conspirators and collaborators against the complainants
before the invitation, to avoid coming to the Ogwugwu and other
unpleasant consequences.
"However, you will not incur the wrath of the deity if your hands are
clean in the matter brought to the Ogwugwu. On arrival at the
invitation, you will look for the Chief Priest for briefing and other
formalities. But where you fail to come because of any reason, we
shall come to your residence or office. The truth must be uncovered at
all cost," the letter read.
The custodians of the shrine informed the Rector that once he gets to
the shrine, he should look for the Chief Priest for briefing and other
formalities.
