Read What Congress Of Yoruba Obas Said About GEJ/OBJ Feud

Yoruba Obas have told Nigerians to allow the feud between President
Goodluck Jonathan and ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo to pass over time
as politicians are not enemies Leadership Newspaper reports.

The Yoruba Obas Conflict Resolution Committee after their meeting at
the palace of their chairman, His Royal Majesty, Oba Frederick Obateru
Akinruntan, Alakia, Ibadan, disclosed that two of them are friends and
they know how to settle their differences.

"You know we don't dabble into politics. They have been friends for
ages. They would settle themselves. If you see them fighting on pages
of newspapers, it doesn't mean they are enemies. If any of them has
any event now, don't be surprised to see them turning up."

Oba Akinruntan also said the joy of the committee would be to witness
a peaceful, free and fair elections.

He added that the efforts of the committee had paid off because it is
difficult to see either Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola or the
Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuade attack each other like before.

Oba Akinruntan explained further that the committee always meet with
them individually to discuss.

In attendance at the meeting were Oba Daodu Joel Sunday, Oluyari of
Iyari, Ondo State, Oba Matthew Olasheinde, the Jowe of Irukorogha,
Ondo State, Oba Ajayi Adeniyi, Gbaluwe of Igbotan Kingdom, Oba Saliu
Oyemonla Azeez, Sabigana of Iganna, Oyo State, Oba Frederick
Akinruntan, Okoro Agija 1, Olugbo of Ugbo Kingdom, and Oba Sikirulahi
Adelani, Ogun State.

It will be recalled that Factional leader of the Yoruba group, Oodua
People's Congress (OPC), Ganiyu Adams,claims the presidential
candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Gen. Muhammadu
Buhari (rtd.) will not be getting a bloc vote from the South-west in
the February 14 presidential election.
