APC Governors Meet With Gen. Buhari, Lament Inability To Pay Salaries For Civil Servants

For the first time since the March/ April general elections, the
Governors-elected under the platform of the All Progressives Congress
(APC) have met with the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.

The Governors discussed the poor revenue of the states and lamented
their inability to pay salaries for civil servants.

They also reviewed the security situation in the country and provided
an insight into the vast challenges facing the incoming government.

The chairman of the APC Governors Forum, Rochas Okorocha painted a
gloomy picture of the current economic crisis in the country.

He says the government of Gen. Buhari is coming at a time when the
treasure of the nation is almost empty.

The Governors-elect present at the meeting are, Rochas Okorocha ( Imo
state), Mallam El-Rufai (Kaduna), Al-Makura (Nasarawa), Kashim
Shettima (Borno state), Aminu Tambuwal (Kano state) and Rauf
Aregbesola (Osun state) among others.
