Imo Politicians Flood Tribunal With Petitions

The Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Owerri has been flooded
with a lot of petitions from aggrieved Imo politiocian.
The tribunal is expected to look into petitions arising from the
governorship/ National Assembly and State Assembly elections.

Investigations by Nigerian Horn showed that Imo politicians who lost
out are set to challenge the defect at the tribunal.

At the last count, all the National Assembly elections held in Imo
State are being challenged at the tribunal.

Chief Felix Idiga of Accord Party is challenging the victory of
Senator Hope Uzodinma of the PDP, Hon Uche Onyeagocha of APC dragged,
Hon. Samuel Anyanwu of PDP to the tribunal.

In Okgwe Zone, Rt. Hon. Ben Uwajumogu of APC is challenging the
victory of Chief Athan Achonu at the tribunal.

Furthermore, Rt. Hon. Donatus Ozoemena of APC has filed petitions in
the tribunal against the emergence of Rt. Hon. Goodluck Opiah of PDP
as the member-elect for Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta and Oru West federal
constituency.

There is strong indication that many politicians who lost in the last
elections are in the tribunal to seek redress.
