It is just the beginning of another working week but members of staff
ofClassic FM97.3 are in mourning as one of their popular OAPs,
Sylvester O. Ojigbede, has been declared dead.
The suave presenter, fondly called 'Sly' by colleagues and listeners
alike, passed away after a brief illness and although details of his
death remain sketchy for now, his colleagues includingTintin andJimi
Disuare already mourning his demise across social media platforms.
Until his death, Sly anchored the Morning Show (6am to 11am) from
Mondays to Thursdays as well as the Classic X-Press (6am to noon) on
Saturdays on the urban radio station notable for creating nostalgic
feelings among listeners.
Sly was born in the 70s according to sources and was an Economics
graduate of the University of Lagos who worked in Advertising,
Mortgage and the Commercial banking sectors before embracing the mic
at Classic FM.
He was reputed as a hardworking OAP who took his job very seriously
and was always on hand to help colleagues out even when he was not
officially due to be on duty.
