For politics, Boy Alinco changes gear

Nollywood actor, Bayo Bankole otherwise called Boy Alinco, may not
have shown a deep interest in politics, but he is not also going to
fold his arms when salient political issues call for his attention.

The entertainer toldArts Domethat even though he was not ready at the
moment to embrace politics fully, he would not hesitate to express his
views and analyse political matters.

Bankole, who earned the nickname, 'Boy Alinco' through his role inPapa
Ajasco and Companyproduced by Wale Adenuga, added that as an actor, he
should not refuse to contribute his quota to nation building via
quality discussions.

He said, ''The political situation in the country calls for intense
and continued analysis of our challenges. I am not ready to go into
politics now but I will try and contribute my quota to the development
of the county by mobilising, coordinating and strategising for change.
There is a need for politicians to start engaging the people who they
promised to serve. There is no way we can get to the Promised Land if
the political class continues to deceive the people and refuse to do
what is right.''
