No 16 female suicide bombers in our custody - JTF

The Joint Military Task force in Kano, Monday, denied the arrest of 16
suicide bomber in their custody.

The spokesman of the Joint Military Task Force in Lt. Ikechukwu Eze
told Vanguard on phone that "we don't have 16 female suicide bombers
in our custody"

Lt Eze who refused to clarify on the suspected arrest of trainers of
female suicide bomber within Kano metropolis berated the press of been
sensational on issues bothering on national security.

Asked to confirm weather the military outfit carried out operation
that culminated in the arrest of those behind the female suicide
bombing in Kano of late, Lt Eze begged to cut the conversation.

I don't know what you are talking about and if you wouldn't mind let's
end the conversation on this note.

However, security sources in Kano confided in Vanguard that the JTF
raided the hideout of suspected terrorist in Kano metropolis August
4th and arrested 6 persons that included two ladies of secondary
school age".

The source further confirmed that " the military originated a letter
to all sister security agencies in the city intimating them about the
success of the operation"

Vanguard learnt that the military are keeping the details of the
operation from the general public in other not to hamper what sources
described as " robust investigation"

Penultimate week, Kano bled from series of attack orchestrated by
female suicide bomber that claimed the life of no fewer than 12 lives,
while 23 sustained injuries.

A top security goon who do not want his name in print told Vanguard
that those in custody have no linkages with Sambisa forest, adding
that "we are working tirelessly to unravel the mystery of the emerging
trend in terror attack".
