Nigeria international striker, Ikechukwu Uche is a man in form.
Uche smashed home in the third minute after a flowing team move as
Villarreal crushed Swansea 3-0 at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.
It was Uche's fourth pre-season game for the Yellow Submarine and he
has now scored in two of the games.
He scored against Reus Deportiu as Villarreal won 2-0 on July 26.
Uche's goal against Reus Deportiu incidentally was scored inside the
opening two minutes as he underlined his drive at netting early in
recent matches.
The 30-year-old was the highest scoring African in the Primeira
División last season as he struck 14 goals to fire the Spanish club to
the Uefa Europa League.
Uche is however not resting on his laurels and wants an even bigger
season when La Liga gets underway on August 23.
"Personally, the idea is always to improve and that is what I have in
mind. But neither think much about it, what I want is to go day by day
and see how things go," he said.
