Divorce: Oyakhilome Angry Over Media Reports, Threatens Legal Action

Rev. Chris Oyakhilome has expressed anger over media reports in which
his wife accused him of adultery in a divorce suit in London.

Rev. Oyakhilome said yesterday that the allegation was wicked,
malicious and was intended to bring his person and the Christ Embassy
Church to public ridicule.

According to a public notice advertorial signed by a legal
practitioner, Kemi Pinheriro, SAN of the law firm, Pinheriro and
Company based in Lagos, Oyakhilome said that the allegations in the
media were nothing but a complete distortion of the facts in the
pending proceedings in the United Kingdom.

Kemi Pinheriro warned media houses to desist from further publication
of stories which were false and damaging of "our client's reputation
and the church", stating that they could embark on appropriate legal
machinery with a view to protecting their client's reputation and that
of the church.
