I Don't Need Special Treatment - IK Uche

Nigeria international, Ikechukwu Uche, has responded to claims made by
the Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi, on Wednesday suggesting that he
wants to be begged and treated specially before playing for Nigeria.

The player who fell out of favour with Keshi during the 2013 Africa
Cup of Nations in South Africa responded Wednesday night via his
Twitter handle. The player tweeted a veiled response to Keshi's
statement soon after the coach's remark went viral on the internet.

He wrote, "It's an honour to play for Nigeria. I don't expect to be
begged or given special treatment. I'm available when/if considered
for selection."

Keshi had on Wednesday told journalists in Calabar, "Well, Ikechukwu
Uche's name was originally in the list. But he said he needed somebody
to plead with him before he can come and play for the country. Well, I
cannot do that so I had to change Ike with somebody else."

Keshi has not called up the Villareal striker since the African cup
which Nigeria won in South Africa in 2013. The coach alleged that the
player was not tactically disciplined and never played to team
pattern. Uche has since responded stating that the coach never
mentioned to him that he was not playing to instructions. He was left
out for the Brazil 2014 World Cup after allies of both parties claim
Keshi and the player had discussed at length over their difference but
Keshi had complained that the player reached out to him too late after
he had made up his list.

Nigeria will play Congo in Calabar on Saturday as the race to Morocco
2015 starts.
