Guber Rerun Election: 16 INEC Officials Caught Thumb Printing Ballot Papers, As PDP, APC Trade Blames

The contentious Governorship election in Imo State declared
inconclusive by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC,
has continued to generate controversies every passing day.

Just yesterday, officers of the Directorate of State Security
Services, SSS were said to have caught Sixteen (16) officials of INEC
in Imo State doctoring the results kept in the custody of the
commission.

The officers apprehended include the Head of Operations, and some of
the officials of the Commission who handled the April 11, 2015
Governorship election.

Trumpeta learnt through a source at DSS that the INEC officials who
were caught thumb printing Ballot Papers have been whisked to Abuja
where they will face the music.

According to sources, the suspects are now detained in DSS facilities
waiting for further instruction on the INEC officials.

It would be recalled that the re-run Imo Governorship election is now
slated for this Saturday.

However, there have been Babel of voices coming from the APC and PDP
accusing each other of master-minding the riggings and frauds that are
said to have marred the elections.

While the PDP has called for the total cancellation of the election
which should be followed by a fresh poll, the APC wants the State
Electoral Commissioner, Dr Gabriel Ada arrested, for what the party
termed his compromises with the PDP.
