Ihedioha Has Good Chance To Be Governor -- Ahamba

A front line politician in Imo state and legal practitioner, chief
Mike Ahamba (SAN) has raised eyebrows on the electoral fraud which
took place during the guber/state Assembly elections held in Imo state
recently.

Speaking in Owerri during an interactive session with Journalists over
the weekend, Chief Ahamba expressed disappointment on APC as he
declared that no good governor can rig election in a state where he
claimed to be very popular.

Chief Ahamba who said he has been in active practice since 1979
regretted why people should choose to electoral fraud.

Speaking further, the legal expert asserted that no collation officer
has the right to do the work of a tribunal adding that INEC did not
live up to expectations. He therefore declared that the entire Imo
Guber election should be nullified.

On the issues of supplementary election, he explained that both the
PDP candidate chief Emeka Ihedioha and APC candidate Governor Rochas
Okorocha still stand the chance of winning the Imo guber haven scored
two third majorities in all the 27 local Government Areas of the
state.

He revealed that the supplementary election will now be based on a
simple majority adding that chief Ihedioha can still win if he scored
the three quarter (31/4) of the votes casted in the up-coming election
scheduled to take place this Saturday.

Chief Ahamba advised INEC to shine its eyes and use what happened in
Oguta Assembly election 2011 as good example where INEC declared it
inconclusive and went ahead to conduct fresh election.

He warned that the supremacy of the constitution should be adhered to
adding that the full force of the law must fall on anybody who tries
any thing against the rule of law.
