PDP Describes Araraume, Anumudu, Chukwueke's Defection to APC as Good Riddance to Bad Rubbish

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Youth Movement in Imo State has
described the defection of Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, Jerry Chukwueke
and Humphrey Anumodu to the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a good
riddance to bad rubbish

In a statement made available to journalists in Owerri on Monday, the
Chairman of the youth movement, Mr.Greg Okwuozo, expressed shock and
disappointment that instead of remaining and assisting the party (PDP)
in the effort it has made over the years to consolidate democracy in
the country and acquire fame and credibility as the largest political
party in Africa, these party chieftains who are expected to assist in
providing effective opposition only chose the inglorious part of
defection.

Okwuozo, a lawyer, described as most unfortunate and shameful the
actions of Araraume, Chukwueke and Anumodu who ascended to limelight
on the platform of the PDP only chose to bite the hand that fed them
on the heels of the presidential election the party didn't win,
dismissing them as hypocrites and false prophets in sheep's clothing
who should never be entrusted with leadership positions.

The youth movement alerted the good people of Imo State to be weary of
the ongoing unholy alliance between Governor Rochas Okorocha and
Araraume, who have struck a deal to handover power to him (Ararume) in
2019.

This, the movement said has provoked the recent massive support of the
senator to the governor, to the detriment of the PDP that nurtured him
and brought him to political limelight in the country.

The movement therefore advised Nigerians, especially Imo electorate to
beware of such politicians as Ararume, Chukwueke and others who change
colours as chameleon to achieve their selfish interest.

The youths who equally denounced the defectors as APC moles in the
PDP, advised Nigerians to be careful and be circumspect in their
dealings with such unreliable, undependable and untrustworthy
politicians. who parade themselves as democrats but are bereft of
basic ideologies.

The movement however, congratulated the president-elect, Gen.
Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) on his success at the polls, but enjoined him
to ensure that his anti-corruption crusade does not entertain any
sacred cow in society, no matter how highly placed.

They advised Buhari to beam his search light on such individual as
Governor Rochas Okorocha, who it noted has over the years acquired
stupendous wealth, mansions and estates all over the federation.

Also speaking, the Publicity Secretary of the group, Nze Jude Mezie
called on security agencies in the state to demonstrate stronger
patriotism in the performance of their duties during the forthcoming
supplementary election and to stick tenaciously to the orders and
directives from the presidency since President Goodluck Jonathan is
still In charge of the nation security.

They warned that, any security personnel found wanting in the
discharge of his duties should be seen as a dissident and therefore
disciplined as such.
