impeachment notice by the Assembly lawmakers over allegations of
gross misconduct.
The impeachment notice which was signed by 20 of the 26 lawmakers
was announced by the Speaker, Jumoke Akindele, after the clerk read
the seven allegations levelled against Olanusi.
The Deputy Governor had defected to the All Progressives Congress
(APC) two days before the presidential election.
The allegations levelled against him include abuse of office for
personal enrichment, absenteeism, action capable of causing breach of
peace among cabinet members in the state, among others.
