The West African Examinations Council has said it will continue to
sustain zero tolerance for examination malpractices with a view to
maintaining its status as a world-class examination body.
The outgoing Head of Test Administration Division, Mr. Kester Ekekwe,
stated in Uyo on Monday that for many years, WAEC has consistently
been conducting credible examinations, despite some challenges the
body was facing.
He said as November/December examinations of the council are
approaching, the Test Administration Division Planning and
Coordinating Committee have to brainstorm on the conduct of the
examinations.
"We will continue to sustain our zero tolerance on examination
malpractices. We cannot sacrifice our status as a world-class
examination body by allowing examination malpractices of any kind to
dent our image."
