Dominic Iorfa stormed out of the Golden Tulip Hotel, venue of the
Elective Congress of the NFF the moment he saw the handwriting on the
wall. Delta FA Chairman Pinnick Amaju Melvin had been declared the
winner of the elections after he sailed through with a run-off votes
of 32 over Iorfa's eight votes and Taiwo Ogunjobi's four votes.

In the first votes that failed to produce two thirds winner as
stipulated in Article 16:2 of the Electoral Guidelines, Amaju had won
with 25 votes over Ogunjobi's nine and Iorfa's six votes respectively.
Once Amaju was declared winner, he walked up to his fellow contestants
hugging and parting them on the back. But when he opened his hands to
embrace Iorfa, he turned his back and walked away. Other contestants
filled Iorfa's void by embracing their new President.
Iorfa fumed thereafter; ""I'll never embrace him. He is not better
than me. He did not beat me. Money won and not him. People sold their
souls for money and you want me to embrace and hug him. I don't
pretend. I'll never embrace him", Iorfa said as he moved out of the
hall.
Mant others begged him to show the sportsmanship in him and he
retorted, ""he is not better than me. He did not win. Money won".
