Police Nab 5 Robbery Suspects In Enugu

The Police Command in Enugu said on Monday that it had arrested five
suspected armed robbers while attempting to rob a taxi with
registration number UWN 542 XA.

According to the command's spokesman, Mr Ebere Amaraizu, the police
was tipped off and the suspects were arrested on their way to rob the
taxi on Sunday, Sept. 7, in Enugu.

He said that three of the suspects were Enugu residents while two came
from Ebonyi state.

The police spokesman said that items recovered from the suspects
included one locally made pistols with three live cartridges.
