Adamawa Is Now Free Of Boko Haram --Nigerian Army

The Nigerian Military on Thursday said it has recaptured Madagali in
Adamawa State from Boko Haram insurgents.
In a tweet by the Defence Headquarters, the Army authorities said
troops succeeded in clearing terrorists out of Madagali, the last of
places held by the terrorists in Adamawa.

Earlier, the Nigerian military had expressed optimism that its
operations to clear the north east of Boko Haram insurgents will soon
be achieved.

Spokesman for the military, Maj. Gen. Chris Olukolade gave the
assurance while speaking with journalists after a tour of major towns
recaptured from the insurgents by the military.

He said a large number of communities in the north east have been
cleared of the insurgents and the remaining will soon be recovered by
the Nigerian troops.
