Many Injured As Governor Okorocha's Convoy Gets Into Auto Crash

Several supporters of the All Progressive Congress, APC have been
injured as the convoy of the Imo State governor, Chief Rochas
Okorocha, got into an auto crash at Ulakwo community in Owerri North
Local Government Area along Owerri-Aba road in Imo state.

The incident occurred in the evening hours of Monday, March 9, 2015
precisely around 5pm while Okorocha was on his way back from the Sam
Mbakwe International Cargo Airport in the company of supporters who
went to welcome him after a two-week long trip.

Although the governor pulled through the accident without any injury,
several cars of the party supporters were reportedly damaged but no
body was reported dead from the crash.

An eye witness told Daily Times that one of the drivers in the convoy
lost control and his car somersaulted several times.

Meanwhile, it was learnt that five members of the party's Youth
Vanguard lost consciousness while about 12 others sustained varying
degrees of injuries following the crash.

They were immediately rushed to a hospital for medical attention.
