NFF Election: Delta FC Chairman, Amaju Wins First Round

Delta FC chairman Amaju Pinnick has won the first round of the ongoing
NFA election in Warri at the Golden Tulip Hotel, with 25 votes.

Seven people are in contention for one of the toughest jobs in African
football but Aminu Maiguri, whose time as NFF president has been
controversial, has ruled himself out of the race.

In the election, Melvin Amaju Pinnick from Delta polled 25 votes,
Taiwo Ogunjobi from Osun polled 9votes, Dominic Iorfa from Benue State
polled 6 votes.

Shehu Dikko from Kaduna had 4votes while Amanze Uchegbulam, Imo and
Mike Umeh Anambra had no vote.

Vanguard reports that Amaju Pinnick and Ogunjobi will go into the
second round of election to produce a winner with a simple majority.
