How Suspected Govt Security Outfit Killed 10,000 Jobs Leader, Ugonna, Ohakim Condemns Act

The inglorious act of the two vigilant members in Akata Oru East Local
government area of Imo State has brought sorrow and agony to the
Omereonye family, the members of the embattled 10,000 jobs scheme in
Imo and the entire Imo youths over the extrajudicial killing of Dr
Ugonna Omereonye, a graduate of vertinary medicine from the University
of Nsukka UNN.

According to the family, their son was killed on the eve of the guber
and state assembly election at about 10:30pm. It was also disclosed
that the deceased Ugonna was shot by two vigilante members inside
their house with a double barrel gun after collecting money from him.

However, the family insisted that the collection of money from their
son was to make it look like robbery to cover up the assassination
that it was.

They alleged that their son who has been in court with the state
government over the sack of the 10,000 jobs beneficiaries by Gov.
Rochas Okorocha since 2012 became a target of the Okorocha's
government over his agitation to vote the Okorocha's government out in
the April 11th election.

Speaking to our reporter one of his close pals alleged that the
resolution to kill him will not be far from the text massage he sent
to his colleagues that read" we are voting for Ihedioha this Saturday.
With this election we can decide our faith. Go out with your family
and vote for PDP. Guide your vote and resist all rigging" Ugonna, this
text was sent on the 9th and he was killed on the 10th" is it not
obvious that the killing assassination?" The man asked.

The family stated that when they two vigilante who came with a Yamaha
mate 80 motorcycle with registration number Imo QD 415 WER shot the
two bullets they have in their gun they used matchet. When the mother
rushed out and recognized them they tried to kill her with the matchet
but the entire household raised alarm and the neighbors rushed to
their house and the two men who are from the same area with the
Omereonye took to their heels.

On hearing the news the youths of the village went on rampage, rushed
to the houses of the culprits, when they could not get them or any of
their family members at home that same night, it alleged that the
houses were rased down to ashes.
