With a wide margin, the governorship candidate of the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu State, Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has
defeated his closest rival, Okey Ezea of the All Progressives Congress
(APC).
The result of the governorship election held on Saturday is as follows.

Also, the PDP's current member representing Nsukka East, Hon. Chinedu
Nwamba,, has been declared winner of the State House of Assembly polls
beating his closest rival Eze Chidiebere Osita of the APC.
The returning Officer for the election, Prof. Edwin Igbokwe announced
the results as follows:
PDP 20,000; APGA 43; APC 3,408
Also Dame Nkechi Ogbu has emerged winner to represent Nsukka West for
second term having polled 20,332 to beat the APC candidate who polled
6,393.
