Imo PDP Accuses Deputy Gov. Of Hijacking Electoral Materials

The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State has
accused the State Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere of carting away
electoral materials in Mbaitoli local government areas.

The state chairman of the party, Chief Nnamdi Anyaehie disclosed this
at a press briefing on Sunday after the Independent National Electoral
Commission (INEC) had declared the governorship election in the state
inconclusive.

Nnamdi who alleged that ballot box snatching by Madumere and APC thugs
occurred in the stronghold of the PDP governorship candidate, Chief
Emeka Ihedioha.

He also accused the state governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha officials of
the INEC assigned to conduct the elections in order to salvage his
predicament.

"The APC candidate and governor of Imo state, Chief Rochas Anayo
Okorocha embarked on a scheme of cajoling, intimidating and
threatening assigned officials of INEC in their duties to help salvage
his predicament."

He therefore noted that, an incident at Oru East local government
where the Electoral Officer posted to the area, Mrs. Emmanuela Okpara
publicly confessed at the INEC officer, Owerri that some leaders of
APC abducted them with the electoral materials under gun point in a
private house to write results in favour of the APC candidate.
