has won the gubernatorial election held on Saturday in Kaduna state by
a landslide based on 80% results from polling units across the state.
The diminutive former minister defeated the incumbent governor of
Kaduna state, Ramalan Yero, by a wide margin in most of the 23 local
governmentareas of the state. El Rufai is leading Mr. Yero by at least
500, 000 votes.
