Why Female Security Officers Shun Imo First Lady’s Office

The Office of the wife of the Imo State Governor, may have turned to a
no-go area for female security operatives.

Trumpeta findings revealed that instead of a female Chief detail, the
governor's wife Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha has a male security attaché.

Reasons for the male companion may not be unconnected to the sad tales
of female security details who have worked in the office in the past.

Trumpeta reports that not less than eight security operatives of the
women stock have tasted working experience in the First Lady's office
since Nneoma Okorocha entered the office four years ago.

Trumpeta was, however, unable to get reasons for the frequent change
of guard in the office of the First Lady, but a source working with
Nneoma Okorocha who does not want her name in print blamed it on poor
welfare on the part of the governor's wife.

The source went further to reveal that the welfare package to a Chief
detail is not encouraging for security operative, hence the frequent
changes. Mrs Okorocha was accused of showing indifference attitude to
the welfare of both official and unofficial aides.

"It could be madam's attitude that is keeping away female security aides.

No female security personnel is willing to work with her again", the
source added. They accused her of being only interested in what
affects her than others in her office stating that instead of
appreciating their role during the campaigns leading to the
re-election of her husband, reverse was the case.

More workers in the First Lady's office are reported to have concluded
arrangements to quit any moment if the harsh situation persists .
