Borno Declares Monday Public Holiday For Buhari's Visit

Borno state government on Sunday declared Monday as a work-free day
for the visit of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) Presidential
Candidate General Muhammadu Buhari to the state.

The Secretary to the State Government Ambassador Baba Ahmed Jidda
stated this in a statement issued to newsmen, saying the gesture was
to enable residents of the state welcome Buhari to the state for the
presidential rally.

"The Borno Government has declared Monday as a work- free -day.The
declaration is to enable the people of the state welcome the APC
Presidential Candidate General Muhammadu Buhari who will arrive
Maiduguri on a campaign visit on Monday," he said.

Jidda urged the party supporters to come out enmasse to welcome the visitor.

"Gov. Kashim Shettima has enjoin all Borno residents to come out
enmasse and line up the streets to welcome the peoples' general," the
statement further added.
