Ohakim's Wife Denies Assault By Hubby, .Says Imo Ex-Governor Is Caring, Civil

The immediate past first lady of Imo state, Barr Chioma Ohakim has at
last broken her silence on the rumor making the rounds in the state
that she was recently beaten to coma by her husband, chief Ikedi
Ohakim.

It was reported in the media recently that the ex-imo first lady was
allegedly beaten to coma by her husband because she challenged him for
purportedly selling their property in Abuja to fund his gubernatorial
campaigns in the state.

But briefing newsmen in Owerri, the state capital, weekend, Barr
Ohakim described the report as wicked and malicious, only targeted at
tarnishing the highly earned reputation of her family.

She stated, "at no time, years back, even now, did any such incident
of being beaten by my husband occurred, because his Excellency, Dr
Ohakim is not a violent man even to his enemies ".
the ex first lady continued "I never at any time queried my husband
over any purported sale of property because he did not sell any
property anywhere, anytime and for any reason. I hereby challenge
anyone who believes otherwise to publish the number and address of the
purported sold property that led to the alleged beating ".

The enraged erstwhile first lady labeled the report as a concocted
lies and the figment of the imagination of the peddlers of the
damaging story which was geared towards causing disaffection against
the Ohakims in the eyes of the public.

"My husband is not a man of violence, If anything, his greatest
strength which sometimes could be painful is his civility. He is
gentility personified, GOD fearing, humane and a bridge builder".

Barr Ohakim recalled that the same lies had been told against her
family to run them down, when they were in power.

She explained that since they left office in 2011,herself and spouse
have engaged themselves positively in the areas of family life, career
development and philanthropic activities.

The ex Imo governor's wife warned that henceforth anybody who
publishes any untrue stories about herself and family would be faced
with court actions.
