Midfielder Kingsley Sokari made it 2-0 for Enyimba in the 85thminute,
before Peter Onyekachi, newly signed from Abia Warriors, completed the
scoring in the 90thminute after he missed several clear-cut chances.
Last season's goal king Mfon Udoh was not listed for this match by Enyimba.
The return leg match is billed for Benin Republic in a fortnight.
