Flying Eagles Held To A 2-2 Draw Against Ghana

Nigeria Under-20 national team played out a 2-2 draw with Ghana in a
friendly match at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.

The Black Satellites twice came back from trailing the visiting
Nigerians in a thrilling encounter, with Yaw Yeboah and Joseph Aidoo
canceling out Musa Yahaya and Chidera Ezeh's efforts respectively.

The game was the first of two test matches for the Flying Eagles, who
will face their counterpart in Tema on Wednesday.

Benjamin Tetteh came close to placing Ghana in the lead after five
minutes when his effort scrapped the crossbar.

Mustapha Abdullahi then set up Taiwo Awoniyi in the box but the Kalmar
FF forward threw caution to the wind.

Manchester City academy product Yeboah missed narrowly two minutes
later before being denied by goalkeeper Joshua Enaholo .

The Eagles broke the deadlock on 27 minutes with Musa slotting home
after a nice combination upfront.

The Coach Manu Garba side continued to press the host but could not
cap their spell of sustained pressure with a second goal as Ghana
goalkeeper and skipper Michael Sai kept out Musa Abdullahi and Musa
Yahaya's efforts.

The Satellites restored parity five minutes after the half-hour mark
when Chidera Ezeh clattered into a player inside the box and Yeboah
tucked in the ensuing penalty.

Ezeh restored Nigeria's one-goal cushion five minutes to half time,
finishing off another swift Eagles attack.

Enaholo diverted a dangerous Yeboah free-kick in the 48th minute but
Joseph Aidoo sealed a draw for the Ghanaians two minutes later, when
he slotted home a loose ball from inside the visitors' box.

Substitute Bernard Bubwa could have grabbed a late winner for the
Eagles but his effort from six yards out was well dealt with by the
Ghanaian goalkeeper.
